Investing in Volunteers Award

Investing in Volunteers Award

Fast Forward has just been awarded the Investing in Volunteers Award by national organisation Volunteer Scotland.

The award shows that Fast Forward uses best practice in its involvement of volunteers, and recognises the valuable input that volunteers provide to the charity. It joins only 750 organisations throughout the UK that satisfy the nine indicators of volunteer management, which includes ensuring that volunteers are properly and fairly recruited, supported, protected, and made to feel appreciated for their time and hard work.

Chiara, Volunteer Coordinator for Fast Forward says 'I'm absolutely thrilled about this award. Fast Forward was established through the hard work of volunteers in 1985, and for the past 25 years they have been such a key part of the organisation. It's a great achievement to receive formal recognition of the importance of volunteers to our organisation, and we look forward to the year ahead with new and existing volunteers.'
