German Trip for Fast Forward Volunteer

German Trip for Fast Forward Volunteer

Parent Peer Educator, Karen Reid, is all set for a trip to Hutten, Germany to take part in the ‘Together We Learn, Together We Change’ Peer Education Seminar.

The 5 day course will look at promotion of peer education as a form of youth activism contributing to the promotion of Human Rights, empowerment of young people, overcoming prejudice and discrimination whilst also examining methodology and quality of peer education.

Karen, who has been volunteering with Fast Forward for over 5 years, will meet other young people from across Europe who all use peer education. She is looking forward to leading a session all about Fast Forward and demonstrating some of our activities and resources. In turn she’ll receive ideas and activities from other peer education groups.

Karen said, “I’m really looking forward to representing Fast Forward at the seminar. I hope it’s a super time and I learn a lot!

The staff team wish Karen all the best for the trip. Check here for updates on her return.
