Fast Forward to Celebrate 25 Years

Fast Forward to Celebrate 25 Years

Next Tuesday will see the Lord Provost of Edinburgh hosting a civic reception to mark 25 years of Fast Forward. Up to 80 guests , including partner organisations, funders, former staff, volunteers and supporters from across Scotland will be joining in the celebration which will begin with short speeches from both the Lord Provost and Fast Forward’s Chairman Dave Evans.

Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy Fast Forward’s interactive timeline, designed and put together by its staff members, which will feature a retrospective of Fast Forward’s printed materials since 1987 as well as stations where guests can listen to a selection of 90s music on a cassette walkman or enjoy archived footage on VHS tapes.

“We hope that the guests will enjoy not only learning a bit more about Fast Forward’s history, but also experience a bit of the era that the organisation comes from and reminisce about years gone by,” says Simon Atkins, Events Volunteer at Fast Forward. “We’re also very much looking forward to the special cake baked for the guests by board member’s daughter Lisanne Robertson!”
