Fast Forward volunteer in Daily Record with charity partner Project Scotland

Former Fast Forward volunteer Simon Atkins is delighted to appear in the Daily Record alongside charity partner Project Scotland. Simon managed to eventually find employment after 18 months of searching due to his volunteering period with Fast Forward. Jack Mathieson reports.

YOUNG people in Edinburgh are being given the chance to gain new experience and skills by signing up for volunteer work.

The ProjectScotland organisation has unveiled 32 new opportunities in the capital for 16 to 30-year-olds, in posts ranging from graphic design officer to football journalist.

Their work with sports bodies and charities has also identified roles in marketing, human resources and fundraising, which would help young people broaden their horizons while giving back to the community….[more]
